Jims 61 In for restoration

This poor car has had a bad 16 years . Project was started and went through 2 shops , Came to the Corvette shop in boxes.  Here is the latest work from the last shop.

Be careful Choosing a shop this poor guy got charged for an engine rebuild, trans rebuild, and suspension rebuild. Upon teardown seems all he got for his money was rattle can rebuilds plus a bunch of sand inside all his componets.

    Lets Move on and make it right for Jim

 

Starting from the Ground up. Frame and suspension parts in the booth after getting a good coat of urathane black with some flatener added for the right amount of gloss.

    Now to make these parts perform like new as well as look new .

                             Front suspension is done

Rebuilt rear ! out with the 4.11 gears and in with more streetable 3.55s

The Frame is almost a roller again. Just waiting for the engine to come back from the rebuilder .

Intake and Carbs back from rebuilder he also restored the valve covers Beautiful

Body underside cleaned , New body mounts and all anchor points

 replaced.engine bay refinished Just waiting for the engine should be done this week.

It Runs and moves on its own power now !!

Seems the progress went faster than the pictures Cars body work is done and is in the booth for its first coat of sealer . This car is as close to a NO HIT BODY as they get !!
